Help build connected landscapes that bring life back to the land.

Elzéard brings together doers, thinkers, and dreamers around a single ambition: reconnecting landscapes so that plants and animals can move, disperse, and find a lasting place to live.

From the Cross-Border Region, we restore connections between fragmented nature areas, strengthen characterful cultural landscapes, and create space for regenerative agriculture and local economies. Not through quick fixes or treating nature as mere scenery, but by thoughtfully restoring what has become disconnected—allowing water, soil, vegetation, and wildlife to follow their natural dynamics once again. Together with people from the region, we build a living network of landscapes where species can migrate and life can thrive anew.

As Field Operations Manager, you are our driving force on the ground: you translate ecological restoration plans into concrete, careful action and help create space for natural processes to unfold.

Restoring · organizing · adjusting · learning

What you will do

  • Regie in the Field:

You lead the daily execution of ecological restoration projects on our sites—from establishing hedgerows, small woodlands, and ponds to wildlife corridors and hydrological restoration.

  • Connecting People & Partners:

You direct field staff and contractors while collaborating closely with local farmers, volunteers, and neighboring communities.

  • Practical Organization:

You manage logistics, machinery, native planting stock, and materials on site, ensuring a safe, positive, and efficient working environment. You help build clear seasonal plans, field logs, equipment management, and work processes that support long-term restoration.

  • Quality & Care:

With a keen eye for detail and respect for the land, you ensure that all fieldwork is ecologically sound and sustainably secured for the long run. You observe what soil, water, vegetation, and seasons require, adjusting implementation when the terrain demands it. You document what works and what doesn't, so field experience directly refines our methods and restoration choices.

Who you are

  • You have solid experience in land management, landscape restoration, (regenerative) agriculture, or eco-landscaping.

  • You are a practical organizer who thrives outdoors and builds bridges between diverse people and disciplines.

  • You operate from strong ecological insight, taking a structured and results-oriented approach.

  • You are familiar with (or based in) the border region of Belgium, the Netherlands, and Germany.

What we offer

  • A meaningful key role within an agile, dedicated team.

  • High autonomy and direct impact on biodiversity restoration across the region.

  • A unique workplace embedded in the distinctive cultural landscape of the Border Region.

  • Fair employment terms aligned with your experience and the foundation context.
