Elzéard Foundation is seeking a Nursery & Botanical Restoration Manager to support the return of local flora and genetic diversity across connected landscapes.

Pépinière Elzéard is an ecological heritage nursery that cultivates local, indigenous plants for active landscape restoration. In doing so, we make region-specific genetic material available once again, strengthening biodiversity, ecosystems, and natural corridors across the region.

From our in situ pépinière, you will help build a living botanical restoration system: from careful seed collection and propagation to cultivation, quality control, and targeted application in the landscape—allowing plants and wildlife to disperse and find a lasting place to thrive.

As Nursery & Botanical Restoration Manager, you will be responsible for setting up, managing, and expanding this restoration system.

What you will do

  • Help Local Flora Take Root Again:

You oversee the daily care, cultivation, and propagation of indigenous trees, shrubs, and botanical species.

  • Protect Local Plant Heritage:

You organize the careful harvesting of local, wild seeds across the region, helping preserve and strengthen the genetic diversity of our planting stock.

  • Connect the Nursery to the Landscape:

You collaborate with field and restoration teams on proper species selection and the targeted placement of plant material in active restoration projects.

  • Ensure Plant Material Reaches the Field:

You coordinate schedules, supplies, inventory, and distribution so that the right plant stock is available at the right time for project sites across the Border Region.

Who you are

  • You have a specialized background in nursery management, botany, forestry, horticulture, ecological land management, or a related field.

  • You possess deep knowledge of indigenous/autochthonous trees and plants, as well as propagation techniques.

  • You are a hands-on practitioner who enjoys working outdoors and has a sharp eye for plant health and quality.

  • You work independently, are organizationally strong, and share our deep commitment to biodiversity restoration.

What we offer

  • The opportunity to cultivate the living building blocks for tomorrow’s connected landscapes.

  • High autonomy to shape and expand a sustainable, ecological nursery operation.

  • A unique outdoor workplace embedded in the landscape alongside an engaged team.

  • Fair employment terms aligned with your experience and the foundation framework.
